Compaq's Evo N400C packs solid features into a lightweight package. Running Microsoft Windows 2000, it's more oriented toward business users than consumers, and while it includes an 8x DVD-ROM drive, its 12.1-inch screen is on the small side for serious multimedia use. The notebook is based on a 700 MHz mobile Pentium III processor and has 128 MB of RAM. Networking and a 56K modem are included, too.
