Product Description Get mobile computing and HD media access with the Gateway T-series notebook. Entertain yourself! Stay in touch with a 1.3-megapixel webcam or fire up a widescreen movie or your media library with the quick-access multimedia control panel.you'll love to take it with you, the T-1630 rewards you with 802.11b/g wireless and Bluetooth connectivity - and the webcam keeps you in visual touch. Gateway will not support you November 14, 2008 www.amazon.com/shops/secondhandbooksforsale (Baltimore, MD USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought a Gateway at Office Depot, then a year later Windows crashed. Tried restoring it from the hard drive, but that restore partition was hosed. Get this-if you don't buy it from their website, you have to call a toll number for help, not the toll free number! WTF!? Then they charged me $20 for a stupid restore disk, which they burned on a CDR! Later they wouldn't even talk to me unless I paid them money. These people suck. Do yourself a favor and get a Mac.
Nice Laptop October 19, 2008 Rob Edwards (Oklahoma) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although the last guy seems to feel that all Gatway computers are crap since he had a bad experience with another unit. I can say that the T1630 that we own has been nothing but perfect. We have had this computer for about 9 months and purchsed it from Best Buy. The speed is very good, out last Dell was faster but we paid for that upgrade in speed. We have always been Dell or HP owners, this is our first Gateway but will not be the last.
Disappointed in Gateway July 30, 2008 K. Graham 7 out of 13 found this review helpful
We bought a similar model Gateway MT3422 9 months ago. About 5 weeks ago it just stopped working. It was a nice computer while it worked but then it just stopped. Gateway has had the computer for 5 weeks, trying different repairs, without success. They refuse to replace it or refund our money. They win this battle but I will never buy another Gateway again.
