I bought this for my Sony Vaio F Series laptop (VPCF114FX) and it fits perfectly snug over the laptop, keeping it safe from unwanted scratches. If you'll be transporting your laptop in backpacks or suitcases, this neoprene sleeve is a must have in protecting your investment. Casetastic.

I've been looking for months in the stores but could not find a neoprene sleeve large enough for my Sony VAIO 16.4" VGN-FW250J. Sometimes I just want to carry the laptop around by itself without the added bulk of my laptop case. It's a beautiful laptop, and I don't want to scratch it. This sleeve fit my requirements PERFECTLY. Not only is is branded on the sleeve itself "VAIO" but also included was a matching neoprene AC adapter bag. This was an added and welcome bonus. I leave the laptop in the neoprene sleeve when I have it in my full-sized laptop case for added protection. I highly recommend this product.

FYI: it fits the new F series, if you are paying the "Sony tax" it means you appreciate your new good looking computer PLEASE keep it that way by getting this thing and make it its home, a scratched-neglected VAIO makes us all look bad! take the responsibility or otherwise get yourself a nasty HP or even a ... Dell!

I purchased this to protect my FW series laptop. The quality and fit are what to be expected with the Sony name. The accessory/cord case is great. I would highly recommend purchasing the Vaio Universal laptop case to go with this purchase. It fits perfectly in the case and the accessory case is a perfect fit in the front zipper pouch. In my opinion I would not use the neoprene case as protection alone. The Universal Vaio case has plenty of room to accomodate the laptop, cord/s my portable sound dock, 12 foot flat HDMI cable, all with room to spare. I am glad I bought both items on Amazon's site. The price for both items was comparible to Sony Style store for Neoprene and less for Universal Vaio case. I am very pleased with this purchase! Both arrived in 3 days within minutes of each other. Gotta love Amazon!!!

The Sony VAIO VGP-AMC7 Neoprene Case is the Cat's Meow for any FW-series Sony Notebook, and practically nothing else! It fits the 16.4-inch FW series like my title suggests, like a fine glove fits a nimble hand, but nothing else (like my Acer 15.4-inch notebook) works with this svelte contraption. We use it constantly, wrapping our VGN-FW373-J/H notebook in it whenever we travel with it, or whenever I can wrestle it away from my wife, which is practically never! If I had one wish this year it would have been this: please, oh Lord above, grant me the gift of two of these notebooks because my wife and I are constantly sparring over who gets the Sony.
But back to the cover story here, and that's exactly what it is...the story of how to cover your Sony notebook for travel, and this is the way to go, even if you have a regular Targus tote for it. You don't want to get those fine scratches on the outside of the notebook, and this is the best medicine to stop them before they can ever start! For a paltry $20 or so nobody who owns an FW-series Sony notebook should be without one of the covers, there's just no excuse for *not* having it in your stash of notebook helpers.
I especially like the small pouch for the small things: a BlueTooth mouse, SD Card holder, drawing tablet, pens and pencils, note pads, that sort of thing...the pouch takes up the slack there where you'd normally have nothing but the inside of the big package to store them all. This way, when using the pouch, things are right at hand ready for use.
The neoprene case is just the right thickness, too, not too thin or too thick, Sony got it right on the $$ with respect to this critical aspect of the fit of this item...too thin, and it doesn't provide any protection, and too thick, and it would be bulky and get in the way of its intended purpose. There's no garish "Sony Style" or other emblem on this case either, it just has a cute little "VAIO" logo in the center of the front, and that's all she wrote. Sony doesn't try and tell you what you're buying over and over again, so that's nice!
Anything that covers a computer as elegant as a Sony notebook like this case does has to have an identity, but Sony doesn't give it so much that you feel like you're carrying an advertising campaign all over again...it's simple, it's black, it's nice!
There's just the one color, black, black on black, so no issues with choosing the right one for your particular notebook's appearance this time. I can't think of a single reason to not have one of these cases--as long as you own the notebook might as well get in style with the case too!
