The extra-wide, theater inspired 15.5-inch display provides deeper blacks, brighter whites, true-to-life color and razor-sharp detail from almost any angle. It's great for watching movies as well as making your own using the dual-layer DVD±RW drive (with CD burning capabilities) and included Sony Movie Story software--just choose the supplied template and professional-looking cutaways, cross-fades and soundtrack syncing are automatically done for you. And with the HDMI A/V output, you can connect the VAIO NW to a compatible HDTV to display your creations to a larger audience.

It's powered by the 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 processor, which boosts speed, reduces power requirements, and saves on battery life. It also offers a fast 800 MHz front-side bus speed and 2 MB L2 cache. New in Windows 7, Jump Lists take you right to the documents, pictures, songs, or websites you turn to each day. To open a Jump List, just right-click a program icon on the Windows 7 taskbar.
