| Customer Reviews: Great lower end DVD drive September 8, 2010 Joshua E. Allen (Jacksonville FL) Can't beat the performance for the price. Used it to replace a bum drive on my Gateway laptop. It's quieter and faster than the factory drive, went in easily with no problems at all. Have had for 5 months now with no issues.
Sony Slimline DVD August 2, 2010 DVDTester Drives came earlier than expected, were packaged well, and worked fine. The vendor put stickers over the Sony labels, and blacked out the serial numbers.
Dvd drive! July 1, 2010 Robert Burtt (Green Bay , WI) This dvd drive is a new drive since my other drive that I had in it
was making clicking sounds, and it sounded as if the disc was skipping
as the information was being read by the optical read head.
I haven't used my laptop (with this new dvd drive) that much to see
what a big difference it makes.
When the new drive was added and the laptop drive turned on
the light on the dvd drive showed up and worked perfectly and was quiet.
So, it made a difference...
Seller should've indicated USED as the condition of the drive February 6, 2010 Minos One (Montebello, CA) I was very happy to receive my drive two days ago until I opened the box and found that the drive had signs of wear. Not only that, the body of the drive was dented towards the rear where the connection port it. Booo! Not good business. Had the description of the item indicated that it was used and pulled from another machine, I definitely wouldn't have bought it especially for the $51 dollar price tag.
Good Price Good Drive October 5, 2009 J. Lester (Leavittsburg, Ohio) The Sony Optiarc was a perfect fit for my Gateway laptop. The face plate was easy to remove and replace with my original.
